Malik and Beecroft in English Double in Boston

Curtis Malik and Lucy Beecroft provided double title success for England in the inaugural NTA Classic in Boston.

Beecroft, the second seed, ended the run of unseeded Alina Bushma – the first Ukranian to reach a PSA final – with a straight games win to claim her third PSA title.

Malik, seeded eighth, also completed his run by beating an unseeded player in the final, edging past Egypt’s Aly Husssein who retired injured midway through the fifth after a 155 minute encounter to claim his fourth and biggest PSA title.

The biggest PSA event to be held in Metrowest Boston is set to be held at Cross Courts squash and fitness in Natick from 18th to 21st May.

We have been able to attract a very strong draw featuring players from over 13 countries including Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, India, Malaysia and the USA.

The top for the Men’s draw is World number 61 Arturo Salazar from Mexico and the top seed for the Women’s draw is World number 60 Menna Hamed from Egypt, one of the most exciting prospects in the Women’s game.

We are looking forward to some very competitive matches throughout the week that will no doubt inspire our players from the MetroWest and Boston area.
